Le Grand Lion first came to me in a dream, peacefully gazing into the distance, watchful and meditative, his wild mane spilling beyond the edge of the medallion.

I carved him in wax in one sitting, then cast him in solid 18k recycled gold. Substantial in scale and weight, Le Grand Lion has the satisfying presence of a true gold talisman, made to be worn close and carried through life.

The textured background preserves the character of the original hand carving, contrasting with the polished Lion and giving the medallion the feeling of a treasure shaped by time.
