MERCURY-FREE GOLD BOHEME OCTOPUS STUDS
This very special pair of earrings was created as part of RECIPROCITY, a annual designer collective co-founded in 2022 by Delphine for a special exhibition during NYC Jewelry Week.
Together, we craft a capsule collection using responsibly sourced gold from artisanal miners from Madre de Dios in the Peruvian Amazon. These miners are committed to more sustainable mining practices, including mercury elimination and reforestation.
Inspiration: These Boheme La Pieuvre Octopus studs were born of Delphine’s deep love for the beach, its seas and oceans, and their ecosystems. They deserve to swim and live and in a mercury-free environment.
The color changing octopus symbolizes intelligence, resourcefulness and adaptability, as well as inner wisdom, intuition and healing.
All qualities and attributes we will need to move our jewelry practices towards a more equitable and responsibly-sourced future.
Hand carved by Delphine then cast in solid 18k recycled gold, these studs lays flat, with the Octopus' 8 arms lovingly resting on your earlobe.
